The Youth and Young Adult Housing Response Team (YYAHRT) was created in response to SSHB 1905 (2022) Sec.2. YYAHRT is a multi-agency rapid response team that responds to the needs of youth and young adults ages 12 through 24 who are exiting publicly funded systems of care and are homeless or at risk for homelessness.
The YYAHRT Core team meets with the youth, their natural supports, direct care providers, and case managers to determine what type of support is needed for the youth to transition into housing stability. It does not directly provide any supports or services. YYAHRT is a multisystem collaboration program that convenes and connects.
