Katie Mirkovich serves as the Department of Social and Health Services  Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) agency representative on the Developmental Disabilities Council bringing over 20 years of professional experience in vocational rehabilitation (VR) and is a person with a disability.  She has dedicated her career to helping people with disabilities gain, maintain, and advance in employment.

In Katie’s agency role, she collaborates with council members, VR professionals, state agency employers and supported employment program partners, employment providers and employers to develop and strengthen partnerships, services, and resources to increase employment outcomes for people with developmental disabilities (DD) across the state.

Through Katie’s contributions to the DDC and her focus on employment, she has participated in the development of the DDC State Plan and provided presentations on DVR and Supported Employment in State Government Program.  She enjoys working with council members and staff on DDC projects and initiatives, hearing employment success stories and helping connect people with DD and their families to local DVR offices, other state and community resources that support employment outcomes.
